Description
Track and Field Sports Arcade
Track and Field sports arcade was released just before the 1984 Summer Olympics in LA. The game has different six field sports the players compete in the 100m Dash, Long Jump, Javelin, 110 Hurdles, Hammer Throw, and the High Jump. Players have three chances in each event to qualify. If you qualify you advance to the next event if you don’t qualify and your games in over. What makes this game so much fun to play is the button configuration. There are 3 buttons, 2 run buttons and one action button (jump and throw). To run, the players must strike the run buttons in an alternating pattern the faster the button are hit the faster the player runs. Next is the action button, the button starts the action (jump and throw) plus the amount of time the button is held also effects the action, for instance, on the long jump the longer the button is held the higher the player jumps. If you hold it to long the play jumps straight up to short and the player doesn’t jump high enough. For more information on Track and Field check out this link to International Arcade Museum.
